Stock Taking

In 2003, in their second go at Iraq, US began their last big operation of death and devastation. They have left, nearly so,  Iraq this month. From NYT:
History’s final judgment on the war, which claimed nearly 4,500 American lives and cost almost $1 trillion, may not be determined for decades.
And as Pepe Escobar remarked that savvy Americans do not keep count of their kill - Iraqi lives count not at all. It is all in a game.
