We'll take up, to say few words about, Dr Liaqat Ali. He is currently Secretary, Orissa Urdu Academy. Yes-that is it. The language that has been systematically killed in its birthplace has some life there. As expected the Urdu has its own accent there. Oh those sweet words! Some of the speakers are gone some are there by the grace of Lord Most Hugh. (Talking of personal experience and not the status of the language Urdu in Orissa.) Dr Liaqat Ali got his Ph.D. in Chemistry at AMU and has served as Director of Education and other capacities in Bhubaneswar.
